His name is Grandpa. (Well actually his name is Jim, but Grandpa is what I have always called him). There's a funny story behind "Grandpa". I met him 8 years ago at our Church congregation in San Angelo, Texas. He had the sweetest wife named Lucy. My family always ate lunch with him and Lucy! They were the cutest little old couple I had ever seen! Grandma Lucy (we started calling her this right away, along with calling Jim "Grandpa") started getting really sick. She eventually lost her battle with her sickness and passed away. It broke Grandpa's heart. They had been married 51 years. He couldn't even lead prayers at lunch time without crying. We tried everything to make him happy again, but nothing seemed to work! He said he felt "alone" all the time after she passed away. SO, my mom came up with a brilliant idea! We asked Grandpa if he would like to move in with us! We had an extra bedroom and it would work out perfect! He took us up on the offer and has lived with my family the past 5 years! We love him like he is our own Grandpa (henceforth the name :D). My mom and him have become the best of friends. My mom is a single mom, so she gets discouraged at times, etc. BUT, leave it to Grandpa to make everything better! Grandpa and my brother have a very funny relationship too. They are constantly trying to figure out who can pull the better prank on who!  He truly is a blessing in all of our lives! :)

With that being said...

I have had a hardcore "I miss my Grandpa day". He lives 4 hours away, BOO.

I could really use some of his HUMOR right now. School is out of control and my stress level is as high as the Empire State Building. He always knows how to make everything better!

THE GOOD NEWS= I get to see my GRANDPA this weekend! SO EXCITED! :) I also get to see my Mom, Dad, Nana, Brother, Aunt, and Uncle! :)
